What are your products made of?
Our original pieces are made from natural stone: White Carrara marble from Italy, Black Absolute granite (business card holders and cord organizers), and Brazilian agate (business card holders). Our coasters are White Carrara marble; Brazilian agate coasters are coming soon. We also carry a small curated collection of natural-stone home pieces such as amethyst geodes and rainbow sandstone.
How did Craftsman Stoneworks start?
Terry has worked as a stone fabricator in Southern California for 45 years. When he started Craftsman Stoneworks, every piece was made from countertop remnants, stone too beautiful to throw away. Today we still use remnants when they're available, alongside other natural stone we carefully select, like Brazilian agate.
How are your pieces made?
Each original piece is cut, shaped, and finished by hand in our Palmdale, California shop, with no CNC machines. Our felt coasters are tumbled White Carrara marble with a felt top set into a milled recess and a cork backing underneath.
How big are the pieces?
Most of our marble and granite desk pieces are ¾" thick. Typical sizes:
- Standard business card holder: 3¾" × 2" × ¾"
- Square and vertical card holders: 1¾" × 2" × ¾"
- Agate card holders: about 3"–4" long (each slice varies)
- Cord organizers: 2" × 1¾" × ¾" (single) or 2" × 3" × ¾" (double)
- Square coasters: about 4" × 4" × ⅜"; hexagon coasters about 4" point to point and ¼" thick
- Felt coasters: 4" × 4" × ⅜" with a 3¼" felt center
- Place card holders: 3" long × ¾" wide each

Will my piece look like the photo?
Close, but not exactly. Natural stone varies in veining, color, and pattern, and agate slices vary in shape and size too. These differences are the character of real stone, not defects, so every piece is one of a kind.
Is the stone sealed? Do I need to seal it?
No. Our pieces aren't sealed, and they don't need to be.
How do I clean and care for my stone?
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth, add a drop of mild dish soap if needed, and dry it. Wipe up spills promptly. Don't use bleach, vinegar, citrus cleaners, or abrasive scrubbers, because they can etch or dull marble. Handle edges with care, since a sharp knock can chip stone.
How long does shipping take, and is there free shipping?
Shipping is free on orders over $75. Below that, rates are calculated at checkout by weight and destination. Please allow 3–5 business days for us to prepare your order. Standard delivery usually takes 5–7 business days after it ships. We ship by UPS and USPS, and you'll get a tracking number by email once your order ships.
Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or military addresses? What about international?
Yes, we ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and APO/FPO addresses when the order can go by USPS. We don't ship outside the United States at this time.
What is your return policy?
You can return items within 30 days of delivery, in their original condition and packaging. Contact us through our website contact form with your order number and the reason for the return. Return shipping is paid by the customer unless the item arrived damaged or we made a mistake. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect the return. Used whiskey stones can't be returned, for hygiene reasons.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Take photos of the packaging and the item right away, and contact us through our website contact form within 48 hours of delivery. We'll send a replacement or a full refund at no cost to you.
Do you take corporate, bulk, or wedding orders?
Yes. Our business card holders make good client and employee gifts, and we welcome large corporate orders. Lead time depends on the size of the order. Our White Carrara marble place card holders come in sets of 10, 25, 50, or 100 for weddings, dinners, and events, with better pricing on larger sets.
Do you make custom pieces?
Yes. Many of our products started as custom requests. Tell us what you have in mind through our website contact form. We don't offer logos or engraving at this time.
How do I contact you?
Please use the contact form on our website. We usually reply within 1–2 business days. Our shop is in Palmdale, California and isn't open to the public.
