Your stone piece
was made to last a lifetime.
Everything you need to care for it — and a thank you for choosing handcrafted stone.
Each piece you received was cut, shaped, and finished by hand in Southern California from reclaimed countertop stone — no two pieces are identical. This guide will help you keep it looking its best for years to come.
How to care
for your stone.
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. A drop of mild dish soap is fine for heavier residue. Dry immediately — never let water pool on the surface.
Bleach, vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, and abrasive scrubbers can etch or dull the stone surface. Stick to pH-neutral cleaners only.
Natural stone is porous. For marble or granite pieces, an annual application of a food-safe stone sealer helps protect against staining.
Avoid placing very hot objects directly on polished surfaces. While stone is durable, sharp impacts at edges can chip — handle with care.
For polished marble or granite, a light buff with a dry microfiber cloth restores surface luster. Stone polish products are available at most hardware stores.
Veining, color shifts, and texture variation are not imperfections — they are the character of real stone. No two pieces are ever the same.
Understanding your material.
Timeless and elegant. More porous than granite — seal annually and clean promptly to prevent etching from acids.
Exceptionally durable and heat-resistant. Very low porosity. The most forgiving of the natural stones to maintain.
A silica-rich stone known for translucency and vivid banding. Hard and non-porous — simply wipe clean, no sealing required.
Often mistaken for marble in appearance but closer to granite in hardness. Highly resistant to etching and scratching.
